Based on this months lesson, here is my motto for this month

"I won't let nobody tell me who I am and where the fudge I'm going."

I hate Pinterest

This Invite only site allows you to share and organize pictures you see with others and for them to 'repin' if they share a common intersert. See the thing is, I like to look for new and exciting things. I think that Pinterest creates a "box" and things become less varied and unique. It takes the fun away from having an idea and figuring out how to fufill it then stumbling upon a way a that makes it possible. Rather people can just follow what others are doing and the creativity can eventually run out. I found myself getting upset when someone repinned my pin! why? well because I searched for this thing, researched and researched, when you find you are looking for or similar, something that is not trending or popular or common its almost rare to find what you envision and i cant imagine if i actually did the work to make something myself to suit my needs and it just gets pinned all over and people start to take my creation and turn it into a show and tell, where someone can either redo it and make money off of it or misinform others about its origin. Im sorry but i work hard to find the interesting and creative things i either make or find and i only want to share if i will make a profit of it or can get the credit. Overall the thing I dislike about pinterest is the limitations. I see it as if it were fashion, (which it can be if you want), things that are trending would be mainstream and it would make me sick to see this high concentration of "trends" vs originallity. Since you cant keep the things that inspire you private its just like someone will always be taking the ideas right out of ur head vs the "words right out of ur mouth".

B on the cover of PEOPLE

So apparently Beyonce has been named one of the Worlds most beautiful people and shes like the 2nd Black woman on the cover of PEOPLE magazine.

I say Beyonce is beautiful but I dont think look wise thats why she got the title. I think it would have seemed like this should have happened a few years back when Beyonce was really on a roll with her hit songs like "Check up on it" and blah blah. BUT being that she got the title now I think it has more to do with the way she carries herself more than her looks. I personally think her sister is more beautiful but thats me. These weird titles are even too weird to give out, how can one person be the most beautiful with all the definitions of beauty? Well I think they just want B to continue to be in the light as a role model for other women, black women especially, which I dont see nothing wrong with that.

Fashion: Cant Wait...

I cannot wait for Asos Africa. I couldnt have come at a better time. Being that my parents are Nigerian I am very inspired by the African patterns. Anything that embraces the beauty in African culture I admire, but it gotta be done right. Knowing Asos it probably will be. The line opens on April 30th 2012 i think. So only 4 more days. African fabric seems to be in style in general now adays tho. Well its always been a theme that i wanted my accessories line to be based on. No, Im not there yet BUT slowly and surely I will be and you guys will be with me the whole way through, rite? Okay well I have brilliant ideas and everything worked out, but the only thing is the funding. My ideas are so big its scary. But I once heard that if your dream doesnt scare you, it isnt big enuff and im definately scared lol.

FIERCE's First Book 2012

Yes I know how to read, and yeah I read textbooks for college but its been about a year and a half since I read a book of my own free will. I went crazy these past few days picking books from my library in school and at my hometown library. I have a handful to read. I am currently in the beginning of Finals week so I really shouldnt be focusing on anything else but school but i need something to take my mind away from all the hardcore studying. The first book I am going to read is a culinary murder book. WEIRD huh? I never knew a such thing existed.

Heres the book. I picked it up for two reasons

1. Its pink

2. It has a chocolate cake on the front 

Yeah yeah dont judge a book by its cover but how can you not when you have some books that look this exciting. I dont usually read murder mystery books, the last mystery I read was the ones Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen used to be in back in the day. Its a 14 day loan so thats why its first pick, plus maybe I can get some recipes from this book. Ill let you guys know what I think of it if I can get through it. Wish me luck.
